Downtown Utica Engagement Session

Katie and Mark’s engagement session in Utica, New York was on a perfect summer day. The lighting was perfect, and so was the couple. When I first met Katie & Mark over coffee, they were so sweet and I knew I was going to LOVE working with them. Turns out, I was totally right.

Katie brought a prop for each outfit and I nearly swooned. Not to mention, when they stepped out of the car and I saw their outfits, I thought I actually died and went to heaven. One of my biggest regrets with my own engagement photos is that my husband and I didn’t dress up. We rocked a completely causal outfit the whole time, which, although us, isn’t as timeless as dressing up.

As I said, Katie brought two props and I absolutely LOVE when bride’s bring props! Balloons, bouquets, anything goes and it definitely makes the pictures look all the more editorial! She brought a parisol for one outfit and a balloon for another.

We ventured around downtown to a few of my favorite spots and honestly, Katie and Mark blew me away! Keep scrolling to see a few of my favorites from the sessions!
