I love when couples I’ve worked with or are working with recommend other couples to me. That’s how I met Danielle & Tommy.

Danielle & Tommy were complete engagement session goals when they stepped out of their car. She was wearing a lacy, blush dress, and suprised me with a bouquet! I LOVE WHEN COUPLES BRING FLOWERS TO THEIR ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS! It truly gives the pictures such a fresh look!

Danielle & Tommy are the kind of people that are so genuine and sincere, you can’t help but feel like you’re friends right away. Their love for each other is so unique and special. I learned so much just from our hour engagement session but I don’t want to spoil it for you! I want you to read about their love story for yourself!

Tell us about your first date!

Bride-to-be:

Tommy had reached out to me years prior to our first date and I finally messaged him out of the blue 5 years later. Tommy always jokes and tells people “I waited 5 years for her” which makes me feel like our love story is truly fate and was meant to be.

Tommy and I had our first date at Delmonico’s steakhouse where we both enjoyed a delicious dinner together. Tommy picked me up at my parents house and my father answered the door while I was finishing up getting ready. Tommy stated later on he was incredibly nervous as my dad answered the door due to how tall he was, but became more comfortable when my dad invited him in to talk while I finished up my hair.

After dinner Tommy and I drove around the village of New Hartford and talked for hours. Before we knew it, it was 3:00 am and he started to drive me home. I thanked him for such a lovely dinner date and told him we would talk soon. Tommy called me about 20 minutes later and said “Danielle you left your chicken riggies in my truck, and I had to bring them back so I’m in your driveway” I thought it was so incredibly sweet and thoughtful he came all the way back for some chicken riggies! I went out and thanked him so much for bringing them to me and let him know again what a nice time I had.

 

Groom-t0-be: On our first date, we went to Delmonicos and I couldn’t tell you what emotions I DIDN’T feel! I was nervous, anxious, happy , excited, and everything under the sun. We had such a wonderful time, and we couldn’t stop talking and learning all about one another..so all in all I believe we had a great first date! But….There was one thing that happened beforehand that made everything easier post instance.… So…she told me her address and it’s a first date so have to pick her up, right? Right! So I buy a new shirt and pants earlier in the day, make sure I shower hours before so im on time and I probably wear too much cologne on regular days anyways, but I still had to make sure I smelled good none the less so 3 sprays it is! Now that im ready to go, Im early for once and I decide to leave anyways and start out to her place. Upon arriving I walk to her front door, and the windows there are glass but are wavey so you can see color through them but you cannot make out what you’re looking at.. so as I ring the doorbell, I hear her dog “Max” barking and some loud footsteps from inside the house..hmmm Im thinking.. and then I see a shadow come walked past that same window next to the front door… Im excited because I know shes going to look fabulous and couldn’t wait to see her…and as the door opens I see this man, easily 6 and a half feet tall, handsome man, dark skin, dressed like he’s out of a Forbes magazine opens the door with a grin on his face. I was absolutely unprepared for her father to be there.   … so Im thinking this man is in the MOB and I’m very well never going to make it out alive and all of a sudden his face opens wide with a huge smile and he gives me this huge welcome inside..I couldn’t believe it, the way he spoke to me showed that he actually likes me already! I shake his hand and I can smell that he wears the cologne bottle just as much as I did so I immediately felt like we had something in common (lol) and at home. I couldn’t have had a better welcome to feel comfortable going into our first date..

Tell us about your first kiss!

Bride-to-be: Our first kiss was in the new Hartford shopping center after driving around for hours talking about life. I had a feeling Tommy was going to lean in for the kiss but he kept holding out. I looked at him and smiled and he smiled back as if we both knew we wanted to go in for it. Tommy proceeded by leaning in for a magical kiss.

Groom-to-be: I’ll let Danielle tell you about our first kiss…I messed that thing up so bad I’m afraid to even repeat the story. How long did I make you wait D, 3 weeks? Hahaha

Tell us about the first time you knew you were in love with your future spouse!

Bride-to-be: I knew I loved tommy when we went to our first concert together. One thing tommy and I both love and enjoy more than anything is music. We were in our happy place at a live concert where tommy was holding me and we were dancing the night away. Tommy looked into my eyes and said “Dani, I love you” I had never felt so many butterflies in my life. I knew I loved him right then and there and knew he was the one I wanted to spend forever with.

Groom-to-be: I couldn’t tell you an exact moment in time where I decided in my mind that I knew I loved her..things between her and I went so naturally that I don’t believe there ever was a time that I didn’t love her..

Tell us about the proposal!

Bride-to-be: Tommy and I went on our annual Myrtle Beach trip on April 20th 2018 where he popped the question! Tommy woke me up the first morning there at 5 am and said “let’s go watch the sunrise” I changed into a big sweatshirt and sweatpants and we started walking down to the beach. We watched the beautiful sunrise and continued to walk with our bare feet in the sand. Tommy kept saying “hey Dani come look at the seashells” after about three times of him saying it I was thinking to myself okay enough about the seashells. The last time he said to look at the shells he stated “look there’s an X in the sand, X marks the spot for a buried treasure” I looked down and he began digging and dug up a box and got down on one knee. Tommy looked at me and said “I finally found my treasure. Dani, will you be my bride? I cried out tears of joy and said Yes!

Groom-to-be: or weeks I had to hide that ive been going to the jeweler..and I didn’t know where to hide it! We already own a house together and I absolutely didn’t trust myself to hide it In the house somewhere with an OCD Neatfreak like her. Haha so I hid it in a lockable compartment in my truck for everyday leading up to the date. She never would attempt to clean my truck, so I felt that was a safe place to hide it..but then…for the first time in our relationship she decided to take my truck to grocery shop just for the fun of it, and she had no idea that the ring was in there! What was I going to say? No, you cant take my truck? I could’ve gone with her but I was doing outside yard work because the snow melted for a few days and I couldn’t convince her to wait..she wanted to go have fun driving my truck with or without me! so she did it! She took it and I think she even took it to work one day too, with it in there. I knew she didn’t even know that compartment existed, but I still felt my stomach turn inside out every time she called me that day, I couldn’t stop thinking that she was going to find it… Thank god she didn’t…….So…Myrtle beach with my side of the family comes and I plan on doing it on the beach, cliché, right? yeah.. but I had to be original or else it wasn’t a Falzarine way..so ..i had to have my sister-in-law involved so she could help me with it… i took Danielle for a walk on the first morning after we arrived there down the beach to watch the sunrise…i had Sue (my older brothers wife) bury the diamond in the sand (with the box, of course) and mark it with an “ X “ after Danielle and I make it down the beach aways. SOOO … of course with my luck….. its windy, its cold, its freezing cold wind…but the sky is absolutely stunning! We make it 300 feet down the beach and shes already trying to convince me to turn around because shes freezing..at the same time im texting sue to bury it at that time, but sue doesn’t know that Danielle is trying to turn back around…I was panicking because I know if she turns around she’ll see Sue burying something in the sand..im trying to take photos with her with the sun behind us, im trying to do selfies with her, Im all about turning her attention away from the temperature of the wind and as most would guess..doesnt work.. so Danielle turns around and I can see Sue still, I convince Danielle to look down at the ground and look for sea shells to have her concentrate on looking down if we are going to walk back…we get within 100 feet of it and Danielle sees Sue, her mother, and Sues daughter trying to hide down the beach aways from us and of course gets excited and asks to go say hi to her..im in panic mode again because were within feet of the X but I cant find it! I told her I saw something that some kids wrote in the sand and wanted to read it…she followed closely behind even though she probably didn’t care what kids wrote in the sand, but If you know Danielle, shell do anything for you that you ask…so I find it, I make it to the X! I call Danielle over and reach down…i show her that it’s an “X marks the spot for buried treasure” … I reach into the sand, find the box and drop to one knee…I tell her how SHE was MY treasure..and I love her and I want to be with her for the rest of my life…somehow to my surprise..well.. she said yes!

Bride-to-be:

Dear Tommy, I can’t believe we are getting married! I knew the moment I laid my eyes on you, you were the one for me. We have been through so much together and you helped me get through the hardest of times. At the end of the day it was always you, it’s always been you. I’m counting down the days for when I finally get to call you my husband, and to spend the rest of our lives together. I finally found my person and I’m so excited to marry you. I love you with all my heart.

I cant imagine myself with anyone else other than you..if I didn’t share the air you breathe every day I wake, I don’t know what I would do. you complete me in so many ways its unfathomable. You fulfill all my needs, wants and desires.. I am such a lucky man to have you be the one by my side on September 28, 2019.. you will make the most beautiful bride, and I can’t wait to marry you..you’re my everything.. I love you now, forever, and always..
